Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement Specialist

Details: Twin Oaks Community Services, a merger of Family Service & Steininger Behavioral Care Services, provides over 90 behavioral health programs designed to meet the needs of our community with compassion. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement Specialist to work Mon-Fri, 8:15am-5pm.Some of the job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Create and  maintain an effective company wide chart review process; Reviews open and closed charts for completeness and accuracy; Develops, implements and monitors infection control policies and procedures; Participates in agency meetings; follows through on plans; maintains a focus on quality improvement, positive customer service, clinical and administrative excellence and change management; Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of or adherence to policies and procedures covering the privacy of protected health information according to applicable laws; Provides consultation on privacy and confidentiality issues; Fields customer complaints; Provides consultation and training on safety related issues and concerns; Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of or adherence to policies and procedures concerning life safety and occupational health; Reviews incident and hazard reports and other safety records; compiles and analyzes trends; generates reports and makes recommendations to improve health and safety of clients, staff and visitors; Performs facility inspections; Maintains operations manuals and other written materials that support the effective delivery of services; Monitors the agency utilization review process;    Provides program specific technical assistance on the development of admission, discharge and length of stay criteria and review procedures; Works to promote the collective effort and mutual cooperation of team / committee members in order to identify and achieve common goals; Communicates and collaborates with internal and external providers to insure continuity of services and resources for intended recipients.
