Development Manager - Bike MS

The Society offers you the chance to achieve your professional goals at the same time you are making a major difference in the lives of people with MS.The San Antonio office of the National MS Society has an immeidate opening for an experienced fundraising professional to lead the recruiting and culitivation efforts of teams for the Bike MS : Valero Alamo Ride to the River event.The position reports directly to the Development Director.  Responsibilities:• Responsible for strategic planning and execution of team recruitment and cultivation for the Bike MS ride personally and through the management of team captain committees.• Responsible for strategic planning and execution of $1,000-plus fundraising club recruitment and cultivation for the Bike MS ride personally and through the management of a top fundraising committee.• Maintain the team captain and $1,000+ database and tracking system.• Schedule and attend team captain rallies and team goal-setting meetings • Assist with all pre- and post-bike ride events including: kick-off, expo and awards party, gatherings.• Responsible for planning and executing all team and $1,000-plus fundraising club logistics, including team weeks and blitz days.• Responsible for year-round cultivation of current and potential bike teams and $1,000-plus fundraisers.• Responsible for working with Development Director to develop marketing tools to meet teams' needs.• Responsible for all team captain and $1,000-plus fundraising correspondence.• Responsible for incorporating mission awareness in all activities, including rallies and kick-off events.• Oversee team captain and $1,000-plus fundraiser prizes selection, ordering and distribution.• Respond to general Bike MS: Valero phone calls, eNewsletter inquiries and any other related customer service inquiries• Other duties as assigned.
