Mental Health Therapist - Licensed Social Worker

Details: Eyerly Ball Community Mental Health Services is a growing non-profit agency that serves adults with mental illness. The agency will begin providing services in Story County and will be starting up another successful Outpatiet Clinic in the Story County/Ames area.  We are seeking Therapists/Licensed Independent Social Workers to be a part of the new and exciting addition of services. The position purpose will be to  provide behavioral health services to consumers through a variety of modalities. To assess the consumer’s strengths, mental health and needs, then develop and implement an individualized service plan designed to restore the consumer’s optimum level of functioning.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  1. Through the intake process, evaluate the need for treatment by assessing the consumer’s strengths, needs and mental status.  2. Develop an individualized service plan on each consumer that focuses on improving or restoring functioning and clearly defines discharge criteria.  3. Provide treatment in individual, group, family or couple counseling sessions.  4. Document well and in a timely manner, the service that has been delivered and complete required/requested external and internal reports and other paperwork in a timely manner.  5. Meet billable hours standards, as determined by administration.  6. Assist in referring or coordinating community resources identified for the consumer.  7. Refer to and facilitate other treatment interventions/supports provided by other EMCMHS team members that are indicated therapeutically.  8. Cooperate with payor sources/managed care companies in providing needed information.  PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY:  9. Support and abide by departmental and agency policies and procedures as well as adhere to ethical standards applied by accrediting agencies, licensing boards and the Eyerly Ball CMHS Code of Ethics.  10. Perform job in a safe manner, insuring that safety for self, co-workers and consumers is of the highest priority.  11. Maintain consumer and employee confidentiality, abiding by all state and federal confidentiality expectations including those established by HIPAA.  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
