EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Details: Requires strong supervisory and leadership skills.  Must have the ability for strategic management, knowledge of basic financial and business principles, excellent public relations skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have desire to build and grow the business.  Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations concerning services to individuals in Aging and Disability programs, Medicaid Programs and demonstrate computer proficiency.Qualifications: Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in Medicaid Home Care services required.  I addition to, the administrator shall be a resident of the state of Louisiana and shall have the following educational qualification and experience:  1)       Have a master’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to; a) nursing, hospital or nursing facility administration, b) physical therapy, c) social work, d) psychology, e) gerontology, rehabilitation counseling or f) health care administration; plus a minimum of three years of verifiable work experience with persons with disabilities or the elderly, with one year of the three years being at the administrative level, OR2)       Have a bachelor’s degree in human services field including, but not limited to;  a) nursing, hospital or nursing facility administration, b) physical therapy, c) social work, d) psychology, e) gerontology, rehabilitation counseling or f) health care administration; plus a minimum of four years verifiable work experience with persons with disabilities or the elderly, with two years of the four years being at the administrative level, OR3)       Be a registered nurse with a minimum of seven years of verifiable work experience with persons with disabilities or the elderly, with three years of the seven years being at the administrative level. Experience in managing systems, processes, and people.  Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel internal and external to the company.  Desire and ability to expand and build business relationships.  Excellent problem-solving skills to handle client and employee issues.  Ability to work flexible hours and be available 24 hours a day as dictated by business needs.Background and drug screening required.
